CONTENTS
One layer, power_lines, in a GeoPackage (WGS 84, EPSG:4326, MultiLineString), one feature per
OpenStreetMap way tagged power=line in the United States extract of 2026-10-16
(Geofabrik GmbH, https://download.geofabrik.de/north-america/us.html).

The file holds ONLY OpenStreetMap data. No data from any other source is mixed in, and the
corridor-mile and other measures that Cadastre computes from these lines are not part of it.

226764 ways, 196178 with a usable voltage, 116918 at 115 kV or more.
The map shows only the ways at 115 kV or more.

FILTER APPLIED
- Ways with power=line. Busbars, bays and the other wiring inside a substation (line=busbar, bay,
  bus, substation, internal, generation, transformer) are left out.
- Ways with a construction, proposed, disused, abandoned, razed (and similar) lifecycle tag are left
  out, so every way here is mapped as in service.
- Ways of every voltage are kept. voltage_kv is the largest of the values listed in the voltage tag
  (several are separated by ';'), volts divided by 1000 (a number under 1000 is taken as kV). A value
  that is not a number (such as "?" or "medium") is ignored; a way with no usable value has an empty
  voltage_kv. The tag as mapped is in voltage.
